Air Source Heat Pump Servicing
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) should be serviced annually just the same as gas and oil boilers, this ensures you will get maximum performance from your ASHP and to reduce the risks of potentially unnecessary and costly emergency repairs.
Services should be carried out by an MCS heating engineer.
Warranties, Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) all can require proof of service history.
ASHP are designed to help reduce heating and hot water costs, however, if they are not regularly serviced they can do the exact opposite.
As under-performance issues go un-noticed the immersion heater usage will increase causing an increase in electricity consumption. In turn making the system more costly and inefficient to operate.
